Tampa, FL (November 5, 2022) – One person lost their life after an accident involving four vehicles on an interstate in Tampa on Wednesday evening. Information from the Florida Highway Patrol shows that the incident took place at around 4:18 p.m. on November 2.
According to information from local reports, the wreck happened on I-75 near U.S. Highway 301. All four vehicles were headed north on the interstate when a pickup truck driven by a man from Dade City, age 28, slowed down for other traffic.
He was then rear-ended by a 42-year-old Brandon man. The man from Brandon was then forced into the median where it overturned. He was ejected and fatally injured at the crash scene.
The man from Dade City then entered the path of a third vehicle and was hit before crashing into a fourth vehicle. Following the crash, his vehicle went onto the shoulder and hit a fence. He sustained no injuries in the collision.
A woman present in the fourth vehicle, age 24, sustained injuries in the crash. No one involved has been identified at this time.
