Tampa, FL – One Killed, Several Hurt in Collision on I-75 near Bruce B Downs Blvd

Tampa, FL (August 18, 2022) – A pileup crash in the Tampa area on Thursday, August 18, left one person dead and another injured. The accident was reported on Interstate 75 SB near Bruce B. Downs Boulevard at around 8:20 a.m.

The driver of an SUV on the highway reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a flatbed truck. The impact caused both vehicles to enter the right side of the road where they hit a sedan and another SUV.

The semi and sedan then hit two trucks towing mobile homes. A 26-year-old from Shreve, Ohio was killed in the accident. Several others were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

An ongoing accident investigation is in progress.
