Tampa, FL - Pedestrian Killed in Bus Crash on East Fern St & N Nebraska AvePedestrian accidents happen all too often in the United States and throughout the state of Florida. Pedestrians are at a much higher risk of sustaining severe injuries or even losing their lives when they become involved in traffic accidents. This is due to being totally unprotected against the force of vehicles. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a pedestrian was killed every 88 minutes in the United States in 2017. In that year, 5,977 pedestrians were killed on American roads. Pedestrians in Florida are more likely to suffer catastrophic injuries in the case of an accident. Florida has the second-highest pedestrian mortality rate in the US, with 708 deaths in 2019.

It can be extremely difficult to deal with the loss of a loved one. Losing someone you love can be extremely emotional and overwhelming for surviving family members. As if facing the emotional and mental consequences related to losing someone you love, surviving family members are usually forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on medical bills, funeral care, and more after they lose someone they love.

If any of this sounds familiar to you, you deserve all the help you can get during this difficult time. You should be compensated for the injuries and losses that you have been dealt due to the negligence of another person. Though losing someone you love is hard on any front, losing someone you love due to another person’s negligent actions adds anger and resentment to the long list of negative feelings you may be faced with at this time.

If you have lost a loved one due to another person’s negligent actions, you may be able to collect compensation for the financial issues you’re facing. A Tampa wrongful death attorney can help you get the money you need to pay for medical bills, vehicle repairs, funeral costs, and more.

More than 90% of the car crashes reported in the United States are caused by driver negligence. Driver distraction, fatigue, and intoxication are three leading types of driver negligence that cause tens of thousands of injuries, if not millions. Taking your attention away from the road for five seconds while driving 55 miles per hour is the same thing as driving the length of a football field blindfolded.
