Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in Florida
An odorless, colorless gas known as carbon monoxide has the potential to be fatal. In actuality, unintentional carbon monoxide poisoning results in 50,000 emergency room visits and 430 deaths per year in the United States. This dangerous gas can be difficult to detect and can leave you or a loved one with critical injuries.
The adverse effects of being exposed to carbon monoxide can be quite severe, and for some people, the damage caused by this exposure may be irreversible. When carbon monoxide poisoning is the result of another person’s or entity’s negligence — such as the owner of a building, an employer, or the manufacturer of a product — our attorneys may be able to hold these parties legally responsible for the medical bills and other damages that result from the exposure.
Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas that can cause injury or even death to living things, including humans and animals. Dangerous amounts of CO can accumulate in enclosed spaces like homes and garages. Idling vehicles, furnaces, and other appliances like warmers are also potential sources of exposure.
