Tampa, FL (August 5, 2022) – There were reported injuries after a pileup crash in the Tampa area on Friday morning, August 5. The accident occurred on Interstate 75 early that morning.
A Road Ranger truck from the Florida Department of Transportation was in the process of pulling onto the side of the highway when it was hit from behind by a Honda Accord. The impact caused the FDOT truck to hit a nearby GMC Canyon.
The 30-year-old Wesley Chapel man driving the Honda was seriously injured. The 47-year-old man was also hurt and taken to Tampa General Hospital. No other injuries were reported.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Rear-End Collisions in Florida
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that accidents involving rear-end collisions are the most often reported kind of incident. Nearly 29 percent of all injury crashes and about 20 percent of fatal two-vehicle collisions include a rear-end collision. Over 2.5 million rear-end crashes are recorded annually, accounting for thousands of fatalities and millions of injuries.
Motor vehicle collisions may have a wide range of effects. Some people only have relatively minor wounds, while others need significant medical care to heal from more severe wounds. It may be expensive to cover all of the related expenses, and accident victims often find themselves in debt as a consequence of their injuries. You shouldn’t be responsible for paying for your own medical bills or any other incidental expenses if the accident was someone else’s responsibility.
A person’s body might suffer substantial physical injury in a car collision. These injuries could deteriorate without medical care or with inadequate rehabilitation, resulting in continuous pain and discomfort that can make it challenging to engage in physical activity. Those who have been harmed in an accident must get prompt and appropriate medical attention as soon as feasible.
