Tarpon Springs, FL – Woman Fatally Struck in Crash at US-19 & MLK Dr

Tarpon Springs, FL (October 29, 2021) – A woman was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle while crossing a highway in Tarpon Springs on Wednesday, October 27.

The fatal crash occurred on US-19 near Martin Luther King Drive. Emergency responders were called to the scene at around 10:30 p.m. that evening. Local reports revealed that a 59-year-old woman was traveling on the roadway when she was struck by a car.

A 30-year-old man was driving northbound when he hit the pedestrian. She sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional information has been released at this time.

An ongoing accident investigation is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
