Town N Country, FL (September 28, 2021) – An 18-year-old was arrested in connection with a deadly collision that occurred on Monday, September 27, in Town ‘N’ Country.
Local reports indicated that 18-year-old Jesus Manuel Diaz was traveling eastbound on W. Hillsborough Avenue. At around 10 p.m. that evening, a 46-year-old Tampa woman was crossing near the intersection at Sawyer Road.
The pedestrian was hit by Diaz’s vehicle. The driver proceeded to leave the scene without rendering aid. Diaz was later located by authorities and taken to Hillsborough County Jail. He is being charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a fatality.
No further information has been provided. An ongoing accident investigation is underway.
