University, FL (September 9, 2022) – On Thursday, September 8, a woman died after being hit by a motor vehicle in the University neighborhood of Tampa. The collision took place at around 8:21 that evening near the corner of Nebraska and 140th Avenues.
Local reports revealed that a 39-year-old woman was walking in the inside lane headed south on Nebraska Avenue. She was hit by an oncoming pickup truck. The injured pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
None of the occupants of the truck were hurt in the crash. No further information has been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly pedestrian crash is in progress.
