Florida Auto Accidents
Car crashes are a leading cause of severe injuries and fatalities in the United States. In the past ten years, driver distraction has become one of the main reasons car accidents happen, mostly due to the rising use and extreme popularity of smartphones. When a car accident happens, the chances of you sustaining a severe or even fatal injury are alarmingly high.
When a driver is not paying attention to the road and swerves into oncoming traffic, this puts them at severe risk of becoming involved in a crash. This is one of the most common types of auto accidents that happen in the US today, and almost all of these collisions are caused by driver distraction. Each year, over 400,000 vehicle collisions happen due to the actions of distracted drivers. These collisions can be deadly, even at slow speeds. Head-on accidents are some of the most fatal types of wrecks, with a 58% fatality rate.
Even when someone survives a head-on crash, they may suffer severe injuries that require expensive and extensive medical care. This situation is difficult, both financially and emotionally, not to mention physically. Victims may become extremely overwhelmed in situations like these. This is why victims should consult with a Florida car accident lawyer to increase their chances of a successful personal injury claim.
