Weeki Wachee, FL – Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Marvelwood Rd near Osprey Ave

Weeki Wachee, FL (November 19, 2022) – A man from Weeki Wachee lost his life early Saturday morning, November 19, in a fatal pedestrian crash. A woman from Sarasota was sent to the hospital as a result of the incident.

Information provided by the Florida Highway Patrol reveals that a 19-year-old female was headed north on Marvelwood Road, south of Osprey Avenue when she hit two pedestrians.

The accident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. One of the pedestrians, identified as a man from Weeki Wachee, age 44, lost his life in the crash. The woman he was accompanied by, a Sarasota resident, age 37, was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

What caused the crash to occur is currently under investigation by local police. No further information has been reported at this time.
