Wesley Chapel, Fl (December 15, 2022) – A man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that happened in Wesley Chapel on Tuesday, December 6. 

The incident was initially reported on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard near Vanguard Street. It was later revealed that 80-year-old David Julian Weaver was driving north on Bruce B. Downs when he made a left turn under a flashing arrow. Weaver reportedly hit a motorcyclist, and the rider was ejected from the bike. 

Weaver fled the scene. The motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition and is reportedly still suffering from injuries related to the crash. Weaver was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with a serious injury. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
