Wimauma, FL – Ruskin Man Fatally Hit by Pickup at US-301 & Brody Blvd

Wimauma, FL (August 30, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a vehicle collision in Wimauma on Sunday, August 29.

Emergency responders were called to the scene of the deadly crash just past midnight. The scene was located at the intersection of US-301 and Brody Boulevard. Initial reports indicated that a 71-year-old Riverview man was headed northbound on the road in a pickup truck.

A 31-year-old Ruskin man was walking along the highway at the time of the deadly accident. The pedestrian was reportedly hit by the driver of the pickup. The walker suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead by responding medical personnel. The identities of the involved parties were not included in the initial reports. No further updates have been provided at this time.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is being handled by local authorities. As the inquiry continues, more information will be made available to the public.
