Winter Haven, FL (August 13, 2021) – A man lost his life after being struck while riding a bike in Winter Haven on Wednesday, August 11.
A local man was traveling by bicycle late that night at around 6:44 p.m. at the time of the crash. When the rider entered the intersection of 7th Street SW and Avenue R SW, he was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The cyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 36-year-old Geneva Cunningham from Winter Haven. She was not injured in the accident. No further information on the deadly accident has been made public at this time.
