Woman killed in a Deland pedestrian accident

A Deland pedestrian accident led to the death of a woman on Friday, February 3.
The DeLand Police Department reports that the crash occurred around 7 PM when a car traveling south on North Woodland Boulevard hit a woman crossing the road near East Stetson Street.
The critically injured woman was rushed to a local hospital but, regretfully, did not survive her injuries.
The person driving the vehicle that struck the woman was not injured and remained at the scene. To comply with protocol, Florida Highway Patrol did not release the victim’s name or other details.
In the wake of the crash, a portion of the road was closed, leading to traffic delays. Currently, authorities are investigating the incident in depth. We should learn more about it soon.
