Woman killed in a truck crash in Santa Rosa County

A deadly truck crash in Santa Rosa County on Highway 98 resulted in the death of a woman. An SUV and a dump truck were involved in the accident on Ambassador Drive Tuesday morning, March 28.
According to the incident report released by the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman’s eastbound SUV slowed down to turn left onto Ambassador Drive but failed to yield to a westbound dump truck. Consequently, this caused the dump truck’s front end to run into the SUV’s right side, throwing both vehicles off the road and into a ditch.
The SUV’s driver, a 60-year-old woman from Gulf Breeze, tragically died on the scene. The 64-year-old truck driver suffered no injuries.
Troopers are investigating the fatal crash, and more details should come soon.
