Zephyrhills, FL – Pedestrian Killed in Accident at US-301 & Kossik Rd

Zephyrhills, FL (August 1, 2021) – An overnight pedestrian accident in Zephyrhills on Saturday, July 31, ended in the death of a local man.

The fatal crash occurred near the intersection of US-301 and Kossik Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Local authorities revealed that an SUV was traveling north on the highway as a 30-year-old male was walking across the road. The man was struck by the oncoming vehicle.

Emergency responders were present to assist at the scene. The injured party was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the medical facility. The identity of the deceased party has not been revealed at this time.

An ongoing investigation into the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
