Clearwater, FL (August 11, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Clearwater area claimed one person’s life. The collision occurred on Friday evening, August 9.

At around 11:00 p.m., a motorcycle and one additional vehicle collided on the Courtney Campbell Causeway. The motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Ramon Castro Jr of Tampa, Florida, was severely injured in the crash. He was transported to Mease Countryside Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
