Hernando Co, FL – Woman Loses Life in US-19 Pedestrian Crash

Hernando Co., FL (July 8, 2024) – A woman has died as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Monday afternoon, July 8. The collision was reported to the Florida Highway Patrol at around 12:50 p.m.
Official reports indicate that a 44-year-old man was driving a Toyota Sienna southbound on US Highway 19. As the vehicle approached the intersection of Algood Lane, it struck a 76-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian, who has not been identified to the public, was severely injured. She was pronounced deceased after being transported to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported in the accident. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
