Hillsborough Co, FL – Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on US-41

Hillsborough Co., FL (November 19, 2024) – Florida Highway Patrol troopers confirmed that a 63-year-old man from the Tampa area died as a result of a pedestrian crash that occurred in Hillsborough County on Sunday evening, November 17.

According to local law enforcement, a 63-year-old man was walking in the area near US Highway 41 just north of 118th Avenue East at around 8:00 p.m. As he proceeded through the area just four miles west of Busch Gardens, he was struck by a Mazda 3. The pedestrian was severely hurt in the accident and immediately pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Mazda remained on site. At this time, the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
