Largo, FL (July 16, 2025) – A serious collision on East Bay Drive and Country Club Drive early Monday sent two people, including a Largo police officer, to area hospitals for treatment. The crash happened around 1 a.m. on July 14 and resulted in the closure of several lanes on East Bay Drive while crews worked to clear the scene and repair a damaged power pole.

According to Largo Police Department, the impact of the crash was significant enough to cause a power outage in the immediate area. Duke Energy crews were dispatched to handle the damaged pole and restore service.
