Largo, FL (September 7, 2024) – A pedestrian has died as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Wednesday evening, September 4.

At around 9:00 p.m., 56-year-old James Michael Lescord was walking in the 2600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. As he proceeded through the area near US Highway 19, he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the car fled the scene without stopping. Less cord was severely injured as a result of the accident. Despite medical efforts, he died from his injuries. At this time, the Largo Police Department is investigating.
