Car Accidents in Florida
Florida is known for its congested highways, which contribute to a high number of motor vehicle accidents. Every year, thousands of crashes occur on major roadways, leading to serious injuries and fatalities. Many accidents stem from driver negligence, heavy traffic conditions, and unpredictable road hazards.
Some of the leading factors behind highway crashes include:
- Tailgating – Following too closely increases the risk of rear-end collisions, especially in stop-and-go traffic.
- Unsafe Lane Changes – Failing to signal or check blind spots can lead to dangerous collisions on high-speed roadways.
- Drowsy Driving – Fatigue can impair reaction times and lead to accidents, particularly on long highway stretches.
- Aggressive Driving – Speeding, weaving through traffic, and road rage incidents contribute to many crashes.
- Mechanical Failures – Brake failures, tire blowouts, and engine issues can cause sudden loss of control, increasing the risk of collisions.
