Oldsmar, FL – Marie Lucas Loses Life in Pedestrian Crash on Tampa Rd

Oldsmar, FL (October 3, 2024) – The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that 38-year-old Marie Lucas lost her life in a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Oldsmar area.

At around 6:05 a.m. on September 30, emergency crews were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Tampa Road. Further investigations show that Lucas was walking in the area of Tampa Road and Pine Avenue South during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, she was struck by an orange 2021 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 57-year-old Randall George. Lucas was severely hurt as a result of the accident. Despite medical efforts, she died from her injuries after arriving at a local hospital. Her 16-year-old son, who was walking with her at the time of the accident, was not injured. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
