Palmetto, FL – Crash with Injuries blocks I-75 near MM 226, EMS Responds

Palmetto, FL (December 2, 2024) – On December 1, emergency crews were summoned to provide assistance on-site at a motor vehicle accident that sent an unknown number of people to area hospitals with injuries.

At around 3:20 p.m., vehicles collided on the southbound side of Interstate 75. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicles blocking several lanes on the southbound side of the road near mile marker 226. Police and fire officials shut down part of the roadway following the crash to remove debris and help those injured. Paramedics provided care on-site and transported one person to a local hospital. The case remains under investigation.
