Ruskin, FL – Bicycle Killed in Hit-&-Run Crash on SR-674

Ruskin, FL (November 19, 2024) – A hit-and-run accident reported in the Ruskin area claimed the life of a 19-year-old bicyclist from Guatemala. The collision occurred on Saturday evening, November 16.

Police reports show that around 8:20 p.m., a red Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound on Florida State Route 674. As the vehicle proceeded through the area just west of 4th Street, it collided with a bicycle. The involved vehicle fled the scene. The bicyclist was severely hurt in the accident. The 19-year-old was rushed to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries. Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
