Sarasota, FL (August 10, 2024) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in the Sarasota area left at least one hurt. The collision took place at around 5:45 p.m. on August 9.

According to area law enforcement reports, a series of motor vehicle collisions occurred on University Parkway near Honore Avenue. The incident prompted the closure of the two left lanes of travel between Honore Avenue and Whitfield Avenue. Severe delays were reported throughout the area.
