Sarasota, FL (August 22, 2024) – On August 21, emergency officials were called to the scene of an automobile accident that sent an unknown number of people to local hospitals with injuries.

Just before 4:00 p.m., a blue Kia and a blue Ford Escape collided on Honore Avenue. The incident blocked all of the southbound lanes on the roadway near Central Sarasota Parkway. Delays were reported throughout the area as emergency crews worked to remove the involved vehicles. Emergency medical services were requested on-site to care for the injured victims. At least one of the people involved in the crash required further medical care and was transported to a local hospital. The incident is being investigated.
