Shady Hills, FL – PCSO Deputy Hurt in Tanker Truck Crash on Hudson Ave

Pasco, FL (October 2, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a car crash that sent a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputy to a local hospital with serious injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol was notified of the accident early on Tuesday, October 1.

At around 5:30 a.m., Deputy Dakota Dellechiaie was driving a marked patrol vehicle when it became involved in a collision with an AmeriGas Propane tanker truck on Hudson Avenue in the Shady Hills area. The deputy’s Chevrolet Tahoe became trapped under the tanker truck. The deputy was severely hurt in the accident. The 32-year-old victim was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
