St Petersburg, FL (September 13, 2024) – At around 6:35 p.m. on September 12, emergency officials were notified that a motor vehicle accident occurred in the St. Petersburg area that required assistance.

According to local law enforcement reports, multiple lanes on the southbound side of Interstate 275 were blocked as a result of a crash that occurred near mile marker 31. The incident prompted authorities to close down the roadway as they removed the debris and the involved vehicles from the road. Paramedics were dispatched to care for the injured victims. At least one person required further medical care and was transported to a local hospital. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
