Dade City, FL – Woman Loses Life in SR-52 Crash near Prospect Rd

Dade City, FL (September 12, 2024) – A woman lost her life as a result of a fatal accident that took place in Dade City on Tuesday, September 10.

At around 5:30 p.m., a Kia Forte was traveling eastbound on Florida State Route 52. At the same time, a semi-truck tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on the same roadway. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided at the intersection of Prospect Road. The driver of the Kia, identified as a 38-year-old woman from Hudson, was severely injured in the crash. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries. The woman’s three daughters, ages 13, 14, and 16, were all transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. The driver of the semi, identified as a 41-year-old man from Port Ritchey, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. At this time, the crash is under investigation.
