Car Accidents in Florida

Intersection crashes can be especially serious, and here’s what to know about why they happen and how they affect drivers:
- Driver Misjudgment: Drivers often misjudge gaps in traffic or the speed of oncoming vehicles. This is especially risky at intersections without traffic signals or with obstructed views.
- Failure to Yield: Accidents commonly occur when drivers fail to yield the right-of-way while turning or entering major roads, often leading to side-impact collisions.
- Distracted Driving: Phones, navigation systems, and in-car distractions contribute to drivers missing vital signals or vehicles, particularly when entering or exiting highways.
- Speeding Through Intersections: Excessive speed makes it harder for drivers to stop in time or respond to sudden changes, which increases the likelihood of high-impact crashes.
- Poor Signage or Road Design: Confusing or poorly maintained intersections can contribute to accidents. Issues like faded lane markings or unclear signage reduce driver confidence and safety.
- Aggressive Driving Behavior: Tailgating, running red lights, or failing to use turn signals all increase the chance of intersection-related collisions, particularly during heavy traffic hours.
