Sarasota, FL (August 15, 2024) – A bicyclist was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a motor vehicle accident in the Sarasota area. Authorities were called to the scene just after 5:00 p.m. on August 14.

Official reports show that a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Bahia Vista Street near Beneva Road. Authorities responded to the scene of the crash and closed down the roadway near the Der Dutchman restaurant. The bicyclist was hurt as a result of the automobile accident. Emergency medical services responded to the crash to care for the victim in transport them to a local hospital for further treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
