Sarasota, FL (August 15, 2024) – At around 2:45 p.m. on August 14, emergency officials were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Northport area and ended in injuries.
Police reports show that a motor vehicle accident occurred in the 5500 block of University Parkway. Police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance. Upon arriving at the site, authorities located the involved vehicles blocking several lanes of the road. Emergency officials immediately went to work on removing the involved vehicles from the scene. Emergency medical services cared for the injured victims on-site. At least one of the people involved in the crash required further medical care and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
