Tampa, FL – Deputy Struck by Vehicle on Plantation Oaks Dr

Tampa, FL (July 9, 2024) – A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office deputy was struck by a vehicle and left injured on Friday in Tampa. Just after midnight on July 5, authorities were called to the scene of the accident on Bearss Avenue.

Reports show that Deputy Kalin Hall attempted to pull a vehicle over on Bearss Avenue near Nebraska Avenue during the early morning hours. For unknown reasons, the black BMW fled the traffic stop. The deputy proceeded to follow the vehicle and attempted to pull it over for a second time on Plantation Oaks Drive. The driver of the vehicle rammed into the deputy and fled the scene. The vehicle became involved in another collision about one mile from the deputy. The deputy was transported to Tampa General Hospital for emergency medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
