Pasco Co., FL – Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on SR-54 at SR-589

Pasco Co., FL (August 5, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported in Pascoe County on Saturday morning claimed one man’s life. The Florida Highway Patrol and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident during the morning hours on August 3.

Official reports indicate that a 32-year-old man from new Port Ritchey was riding a motorcycle through the intersection of Florida State Route 54 and Florida State Route 589. As he proceeded eastbound, a Ford Expedition turned left in front of him. As a result, the two vehicles collided. The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to catch on fire. The motorcyclist was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
